UPESSC PRT Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit
Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age: 40 Years for Assistant Teacher (Primary – Urban)
Maximum Age: 62 Years for Assistant Teacher (Attached Primary)
Age Relaxation: Applicable candidates may receive relaxation in the prescribed age limit as per the rules and guidelines issued by UPESSC.
Applicants should hold a Graduation degree from a legally established university in India or possess an equivalent qualification accepted by the Government.
In addition, candidates must have completed an eligible teacher-training course, such as BTC, BTC (Urdu), Special BTC, a 2-year Diploma in Special Education recognized by RCI, 4-year B.El.Ed., or a 2-year D.El.Ed. approved under the applicable NCTE regulations.
Candidates are also required to have qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the State Government or the Government of India.
Note: The BTC course is presently known as D.El.Ed.
Applicants should have completed Graduation from a university established under Indian law or from a recognized/deemed university or institution.
Along with the degree, candidates must hold a valid BTC or D.El.Ed. qualification obtained through a course recognized by NCTE.
It is also mandatory to have qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh or the Government of India for Classes 1 to 5.
